The JIT of Islamabad Police is headed by SSP (Operations) Islamabad Farhat Abbas Kazmi.

Talking to reporters after appearing before the JIT, Imran Khan reiterated his demand for free and fair elections.

He lashed out at government for its highhandedness. He said that the terrorism case against him had become a joke in front of entire world. The world is laughing at the registration of this case against him, he added.

He said his party leader Shahbaz Gill was subjected to physical torture and he only requested to take a legal action against it.

On holding dialogues with the government, he said that he could hold talks with the government only on fair and transparent elections.

Imran said he remained quiet due to worsening economic condition and floods in the country but cautioned the powers that be ‘as much as you are pushing us against the wall, we are becoming stronger’.

He believed that the government could not hold if he gave the (protest) call, adding that the country was heading to a direction similar to that of Sri Lanka.

The PTI chief was of the view that the government could not dare come out in the public. He rued that it was browbeating those who were raising political funds.
