Pakistan defeated Iran by 22 points in second semi-final of Kabaddi World Cup to set up a blockbuster final against India on Saturday at Lahore’s Nishtar Sports Complex.

Pakistan proved too good for mighty Iranians, who were tipped to surprise the hosts, as they thrashed their opponents by completely overwhelming them in all quarters and register a 52-30 victory.

Earlier, in the first semi-final, Australia gave a tough fight to tournament favourites India before going down. India could win only by the margin of 10 points against Australia in a match that was supposed to be a cakewalk for them. India defeated Australia by 42-32 to reach the final.
