The district administration has finally started work on clearing snow from Neelum highway and other link roads following a heavy snowfall, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday. 

The Neelum Highway from Muzaffarabad to Sharda was restored after removing the snow. 

The land connection of many areas including Gurez Valley, Sargan Valley, Leswa Valley, Shounter Valley and Jagran Valley continued to be closed. 

On the other hand, the Electricity department has also started work to restore the power lines damaged by the snowfall. However, hundreds of villages were still in darkness due to power outages in many areas. 

Similarly, mobile service was also suspended in many areas owing to power outage. 

The intensity of cold was increased after the heavy snowfall.
