A tent pegging competition was held at Fatima Jinnah Park in Islamabad on Sunday to pay tribute to the country’s armed forces for conducting a successful military operation, Bunyanun Marsoos, against India, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

As many as 200 teams from across the country participated in the competition.

The organisers, Syed Zeeshan Ali Naqvi and Federal Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, said that the purpose of holding the competition was to honour the armed forces for giving a befitting reply to the arch-rival India during the recent military confrontation.

They said it was due to the sacrifices given by the armed forces that they were able to organise such events.

CDA chairman and foreigners living in the federal capital also watched the competition, while in the end, prizes were distributed among the winners.
