Bring stranded Pakistanis back immediately: Shehbaz

PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif on Friday demanded the government to ensure the return of all the Pakistanis currently stranded abroad before Eid and stop treating them as “sheep”.
The behaviour shown towards the stranded Pakistanis is condemnable and shameful, the PML-N president said, stressing the need to arrange special and additional flights besides chartering aircraft for them.

In a statement, Shehbaz asked Prime Minister Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi to fulfill their responsibilities, saying the government didn’t have the empathy to realise the fact that the stranded Pakistanis had consumed all the financial resources.
Earlier, Shehbaz in a series of tweets recalled that the laptop scheme launched on the basis of need and merit was described as a publicity stunt but had become a useful tool amid the lockdown, enabling the students to get online education.

While noting that Covid-19 is likely to be part of our lives for quite some time, he also called formulating a plan to provide equal online learning opportunities to students with a special focus on those living in far-flung areas.
