ECNEC approves nine development projects worth Rs355.736 billion
The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) meeting chaired by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has approved nine development projects worth Rs355.736 billion, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
The projects cover key sectors including transport, energy, education, water resources, trade facilitation, tourism and post-disaster rehabilitation.
The approved projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa include Rural Accessibility Upgrade and Integrated Tourism Development Project.
Measures to restore infrastructure after floods in Sindh, transformation of primary education classrooms and construction of Mangi Dam along with water transmission system in Quetta.
The committee also approved the repair of 100 diesel-electric locomotives.
The meeting also approved reinforcement of transmission system in Islamabad and Burhan and development of Transit Trade Management System.
The meeting also in-principle approved establishment of Customs Digital Enforcement Stations by FBR and Dasu Hydropower Project.
The Foreign Minister reiterated the government's commitment to inclusive, sustainable and inclusive growth in all regions of Pakistan.
