Food controllers suspended in Bannu and Buner districts over wheat irregularities

Alleged irregularities and serious flaws were reported in wheat record in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa food department, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. 

According to Food Department officials, the food officers of Bannu and Buner districts were suspended over wheat disappearance from godowns. Action was taken on allegations of wheat disappearance, irregularities in issuance and poor record maintenance. 

District Food Controller and Assistant Food Controller Bannu suspended for 120 days. The suspension action has also been taken against District Food Controller Buner district. The suspended officers and officials failed to maintain systematic records of wheat release and government stock.
