Students back to school

After spending two weeks off campus, public and private schools students have returned to their institutions from Thursday as per the policy announced by the NCOC, reported 24NewHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood said that he was very happy to announce that all educational institutions will open from September 16. The decision was taken in the 32nd meeting for Interprovincial Education Ministers Conference (IEMC) to review the coronavirus situation and opening or further closure of the schools.

Federal Minister for Development, Planning and Special Initiatives and NCOC Head Asad Umar informing about the NCOC decisions announced the opening of schools with 50 percent attendance.
Asad Umar also announced lifting of additional non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) in 18 of 24 districts where the restrictions were enforced earlier this month in the wake of high coronavirus prevalence.
Punjab Education Minister Dr Murad Raas said, “All Public and Private Schools of Punjab will be opened on Thursday, 16th September, 2021 with the staggered approach. Only 50% students will be allowed in schools on any given day. Please follow COVID SOPs issued by the government. Welcome back.”
