IGP Punjab reshuffles eight top cops

Inspector General of Police Punjab Shoaib Dastgir has issued the orders for posting and transfer of eight police officers.

According to a handout issued in Lahore on Thursday, Dr Sardar Ghayas Gul Khan was appointed as DPO Jhang; while, Muhammad Hassan Raza Khan who was serving as DPO Jhang has been transferred to Central Police Office Punjab Lahore.

In addition, SP Special Branch Multan Region Ameer Taimur was appointed as DPO Sahiwal; while, the outgoing DPO Captain (retd) Muhammad Ali Zia was transferred to Bhakkar as DPO Bhakkar. The DPO Bhakkar DPO Faisal Gulzar will now be serving as DPO Sargodha filling the seat vacated by Ammara Athar, who will now be assuming her role as AIG Monitoring and Crime Analysis Investigation Branch Punjab Lahore.

Furthermore, Asad Sarfaraz Khan who was serving as AIG Monitoring and Crime Analysis Investigation will now assume the new office as SSPMT, Punjab; while Awais Ahmed, who vacated this seat, has been ordered to report to Central Police Office Punjab Lahore.
