Sikh pilgrims started reaching Lahore after performing religious rites at Hassanabdal and Nankana Sahib, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported Sunday.

The Railways police have stepped up security for Sikhs' special trains while they have deployed commandos at the entry and exit points of the railway station.

Sikh pilgrims will return to India from the Wagah border on April 21 after performing their rituals in Pakistan.

A spokesperson said the railway police will leave no stone unturned to ensure the security of Sikh pilgrims.

In Nankana Sahib, the  Sikh pilgrims performed their rites during the three-day sta.

They heaped praise on the Pakistani authorities for making excellent arrangements for them on their pilgrimage.

They expressed gratitude to the authorities for providing the facilities and making them feel that they were at their own home.

Some of them got emotional and said they can't forget the love they got in Pakistan.

Sikh pilgrims have sent a message to the world, including India, that a visit must be paid to Pakistan as it is a peaceful country.
