Another terror bid foiled in Mianwali
The Mianwali security personnel repulsed another terrorist attack, killing one of the attackers.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the two of the attackers escaped.
The deceased is identified as Habib-ur-Rehman, the commander of the TTP. The lawmen have launched a hunt for the runaway terrorists.
A heavy contingent of Mianwali police reached the spot. A suicide jacket, arms and ammunition were also recovered.
The lawmen foiled a terror bid a few days ago when a group of 20 to 25 heavily armed insurgents attacked a police station but were forced to flee after an exchange of heavy gunfire.The DPO Mianwali also arrived at the scene with additional force.
Punjab CM Mohsin Naqvi, the police high-up and the people heaped praise on the brave policemen. The incident occurred a day after a suicide bomber blew himself up inside a crowded mosque at Police Lines in Peshawar, claiming more than 100 lives.
