Pakistan extends ban on Indian planes use of its airspace

The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) on Wednesday extended the ban imposed on registered Indian planes to use Pakistan’s airspace, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), the ban on India’s civil and military planes would remain effective until 4:59 AM on July 24.

Relations soured between both the countries after they went to a war in May last year. 

Following that, both countries banned the use of their airspace by each other airlines.

Last time, a ban on Indian civilian and military aircraft using Pakistani airspace had been extended for another month, until June 24, according to a Notice to Airmen (Notam) issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) on May 19. 

The previous extension was set to expire on May 24.
