Another bench changed in IHC on acting CJ's orders

Another dispute arose over the change in bench on Saturday in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) when the acting chief justice stepped in to overrule the original division bench, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

A division bench hearing the NAB case regarding irregularities in land transfer in Sector E-11 ordered that the case be fixed before the bench of Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani and Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq.

After the division bench’s order, Acting IHC Chief Justice Sardar Mohammad Sarfraz Dogar intervened following which a new roster was issued in which the Justice Mohsin Kayani’s division bench was dissolved.

Justice Ishaq and Justice Kayani were due to hear the case on May 22.

On May 8, a miscellaneous application was fixed for hearing before a new bench.
