♦ Government succeeded in passing 33 bills including highly controversial legislation from the joint session of the parliament; a bill in favour of Indian terrorist Kulbhushan Yadev also passed; a bill suggesting State Bank will not be answerable to anyone also passes; the law to hold next elections through electronic voting machines have also been passed; Opposition protested for not counting the votes and staged a walk-out from the session

♦ United opposition announced to move Supreme Court over the passing of bills; Shehbaz Sharif lashes out at Speaker national assembly; Said Asad Qaiser had trampled on parliamentary traditions; Said opposition votes were under-represented; Said told the House that black laws could harm the country; Opposition leader termed EVM as Evil Vicious Machine. 

♦ PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said they reject next general elections from today; Said it was not the opposition’s defeat but the government’s; Said the decision regarding the future of the country should be made in the parliament; Said would sensitise the ECP on EVM issue also
