Edhi Foundation reunites two missing girls with families after years of separation

The Edhi Foundation has reunited two long-missing girls with their families on the same day, triggering emotional scenes as parents and children broke down in tears upon meeting, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday.

According to details, one of the girls, Amna, had gone missing nearly 10 years ago from a Bakra Mandi in Punjab.

She was recently brought to an Edhi Centre in Karachi by an unknown individual who had found her near a shrine.

The second girl, Gul Amna, had disappeared in 2014 from Lahore’s Children’s Hospital.

According to the Edhi Foundation, a sustained social media campaign played a crucial role in locating the families.

In several videos shared by the foundation, both girls mentioned their parents and siblings — vital clues that ultimately helped identify their families.

The parents, after seeing images and videos circulating online, immediately recognized their daughters and contacted the foundation.

Following necessary verification and legal procedures, both girls are being formally handed over to their parents today, marking a joyous and deeply emotional reunion made possible by the Edhi Foundation’s tireless efforts.
