Dilip Kumar s Twitter account to be closed forever

Dilip Kumar's Twitter account will be deactivated, family friend and spokesperson Faisal Farooqui announces.

According to reports, Farooqui said the decision was made with the consent of Saira Banu.

"After much discussion and deliberation and with the consent of Saira Banu, I have decided to close this Twitter account of beloved Dilip Kumar.

"Thank you for your continuous love and support," Faisal Farooqui writes sharing a picture of the late actor.

Saira Banu and Faisal both kept Dilip Kumar's fans updated about his life and health through his Twitter handle. Fans and followers of the legend are unhappy at the move.

For his contribution to cinema, Dilip Kumar was conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, India’s highest award in the artform. He also received the Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest civilian award in the country.

Some of his best-known films include 'Aan', 'Daag', 'Devdas', 'Madhumati', 'Azaad', 'Mughal-e-Azam', 'Ganga Jamuna', 'Kranti', 'Karma', 'Ram Aur Shyam'.
