A petition was filed in the Supreme Court (SC) on Friday, seeking court orders not only to bar Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly (NA) and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif from tabling a no-trust move in the National Assembly (NA) but also initiate criminal proceedings against him for attacking the Supreme Court building along with other PML-N workers in 1997, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
It is further stated in the petition, filed by Advocate Shahid Aurakzai, that when Shehbaz was the chief minister he used the CM House for political purposes. “A man who has remained involved in criminal activities cannot become the leader of the opposition,” reads the petition.
