Electricity disconnected at Raiwind Railway Station due to pending dues

Electricity supply to Raiwind Railway Station has been disconnected due to the non-payment of outstanding dues, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.

According to Railway officials, the railway station owes millions of rupees to the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), leading to the suspension of power supply.

The outage has caused serious inconvenience at the booking counters, where staff and passengers are facing operational difficulties.

Railway authorities said that to ensure safe train operations, generators are being used to power traffic signals ahead of train arrivals and departures.

 However, the power shutdown has created significant problems for passengers, particularly during night hours, due to the lack of lighting and essential facilities.
