Most-wanted militant Khalid alias Commander killed in shootout with CTD in DI Khan

Carrying out a successful intelligence-based operation, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel killed a most-wanted militant, Khalid alias Commander, in Dera Ismael Khan region on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to the department’s spokesman, the slain terrorist opened fire at the CTD team despite the fact he was repeatedly asked to surrender.  

He further said that Commander was involved in multiple incidents of terrorism, including in the killing of a police constable, Muhammad Ali on March 17, 2025. “The terrorist was adept at disguising himself and dodging the law-enforcers. He belonged to the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan’s (TTP) Zakir Koochi Karwan group,” the spokesman elaborated.

Giving further details, he said that the CTD’ intelligence informed that Commander was present in Korai in the jurisdiction of Shorkot police station.

“After having been intimated about the terrorist’s presence, the department’s team reached the spot to arrest him,” the spokesman said, adding that despite the fact he was asked to lay down his arms, he opened fire at the CTD personnel.

The personnel retaliated, resulting in the killing of Commander.

The spokesman went on to say that one 9mm pistol, a hand grenade, and a smart phone were recovered from Commander.
