Amnesty scheme for multiple passport holders introduced

On the directions of interior ministry, the passport office has introduced a new amnesty scheme for the multiple passport holders, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday. 

On the orders of interior ministry, the passport office has devised a new amnesty scheme for those who hold more than one passport owing to varied reasons. 

Those multiple passport holders who made extra travel document due to their B-Form or identity card; and those women, who after registration of their marriage, have acquired a new passport, they have to pay Rs10,000 fee. 

Those multiple passport holders who have obtained extra passport due to change in their names, or change in their dates of birth, they have to pay a fee of Rs25,000. 

The passport office has devised a Rs10,000 fee for those who have got new passport due to change in their national identity card numbers along with modifications in all other personal details. 

These people are required to submit their affidavit, correct identity card along with their parents’ identity cards, and record of identity card which has been cancelled by NADRA.
