Prolonged power outages test public’s patience

Power outages have been testing public patience in different areas of the country amid rising temperature, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

It is learnt that 10 to 12 hours power loadshedding is being conducted in several areas of Karachi. The electricity supply also remains suspended at night in many areas.

In Lahore, students are facing a great deal of inconvenience due to power loadshedding during exam hours. They are also faced with difficulties while preparing for exams at night amid prolonged outages.

They said that there should be no loadshedding during school hours, adding that they found it difficult to solve their question papers amid power suspension.

They have also demanded summer vacations from May 20 immediately after the culmination of their exams. “The demand of early summer vacations is under consideration,” said the school education department.

In Hyderabad, power loadshedding is being conducted during the exam hours of matriculation. The matric students in Hyderabad took English paper on Wednesday. They faced a great difficulty as the electricity was suspended during the exam hours.

The power loadshedding amid hot weather made it difficult for the students to take the exam.
