Section 144 enforced in Islamabad

After Punjab, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) authorities have also enforced Section 144 across the federal capital, prohibiting gatherings and processions in the federal capital.

According to a statement released by local administration, the high-security zone, Red Zone and surrounding areas have been designated as restricted, with strict enforcement of the law.

It said the capital police were committed to safeguarding lives and property of citizens, adding that anyone found violating the section 144, strict action will be taken against them.

The statement further said citizens were requested not to engage in any unlawful gathering, adding that legal action would be taken against those who attempted to disturb peace and order.
