MDCAT 2026 exam to be held on Sunday
The MDCAT 2026 examination for admission to medical and dental colleges will be held on September 20 (Sunday), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Final arrangements for the exam were reviewed during a meeting chaired by the President of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
The meeting decided to retain MDCAT question papers with the respective universities following the exam.
According to PMDC, the objective of retaining question papers with the universities is to ensure transparency.
Provincial authorities and designated universities are responsible for the actual conduct of the MDCAT.
PMDC formulates and approves the MDCAT examination framework, procedures, and standards.
Provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Islamabad conduct the MDCAT in accordance with established policies and standards.
As many as 138,158 candidates are registered for MDCAT 2026.
MDCAT 2026 will be held across 34 cities and towns in Pakistan.
An examination center for MDCAT 2026 has also been established in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Directives have been issued to all relevant institutions to ensure high standards of exam security and transparency.
Objections regarding any MDCAT question may be raised under the prescribed review and grievance procedure.
PMDC is committed to conducting MDCAT 2026 in a secure, transparent, uniform, and fair manner.
