Two were crushed to death when a train hit a rickshaw on an unmanned crossing near Jia Bagga, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Monday.

According to details, Pak Business Express Monday while going from Lahore to Karachi got involved in an accident when a rickshaw tried to cross an unmanned crossing in a hurry. Resultantly, the rickshaw driver and a passenger in the rickshaw got killed.

The deceased were brothers belonging to a local village Jia Bagga and were identified as Usman and Rizwan.

The train driver pulled the emergency brakes after hitting the rickshaw which resulted in the derailing of two bogies and the engine of the trainand also damaged the track.

The damage to the track has resulted in the partial suspension of train operations from Lahore to Karachi.

The rescue teams have reached the spot.
