ECP defers Imran, Fawad’s indictment in contempt case

The indictment proceedings against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry in the Election Commission contempt case have been postponed once again, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


Member Election Commission Nisar Durrani heard the election commission contempt case against the PTI founder and Fawad Chaudhry in Adiala Jail on Tuesday.


The hearing of the Election Commission contempt case was postponed till December 27, delaying the indictment proceedings against former PTI chairman Imran Khan and Fawad Chaudhry once again.


During the hearing, a petition seeking open trial of the case was submitted on behalf of Fawad Ch.


Fawad Chaudhry said that they were not provided with copies of the case, nor were their documents allowed to come in.


He said he could not tell without documents what the charges against him are.


Election Commission members Shah Mehmood Jatoi, Babar Hussain Bharwana and Justice ® Ikramullah were also present during the proceedings.
