Top PDM leaders agree to make anti-govt movement result-oriented
Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) President and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Friday telephoned former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and former president Asif Ali Zardari and discussed the opposition alliance’s ongoing anti-government movement, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to reports, the three leaders agreed on reinvigorating the movement so that it could become result-oriented.
During a chat with former president and Pakistan People’s Party Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, both leaders discussed the prevailing political situation in the country, Senate elections and long march.
Both Zardari and Fazl also held consultations over candidates for the Senate elections; a strategy to be adopted for the much talked about long march besides running election campaign for PDM candidate from Islamabad Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani.
The three leaders also pondered upon resignations and the planned indefinite sit-in at the D-Chowk in Islamabad next month.
