Pakistani citizen returns home after release from Indian jail
A Pakistani citizen imprisoned in India has been repatriated to Pakistan, the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi confirmed on Monday.
According to the High Commission’s spokesperson, Hafiz Muhammad Abubakar was sent back to Pakistan today via Wagah Border, Lahore, completing the repatriation process from India.
The spokesperson said the return of the Pakistani national was facilitated through coordinated efforts by the High Commission.
The spokesperson added that the Pakistan High Commission remains committed to pursuing the release and repatriation of all Pakistani citizens currently lodged in Indian jails.

Continuous efforts are being made to ensure their safe return home, he said.
The High Commission has also released a photograph of Hafiz Muhammad Abubakar following his return to Pakistan.
