US President Joe Biden on Wednesday renewed commitment on an elusive goal of creating a Palestinian state even as he offered robust support to Israel after the October 7 attacks.

"As hard as it is, we must keep pursuing peace, we must keep pursuing a path so that Israel and the Palestinian people can both live safely in security and dignity and in peace," said Biden.

"For me, that means a two-state solution," he said as he closed a solidarity visit to Israel.

Biden warns Israel not to repeat US 'mistakes' in 9/11 'rage'

US President Joe Biden cautioned Israelis not to be blinded by rage after suffering their deadliest ever attack, warning that the United States made mistakes after September 11.

"I caution this while you feel that rage, don't be consumed by it. After 9/11, we were enraged in the United States. While we sought justice and got justice we also made mistakes," Biden said on a visit to Tel Aviv.

Biden says 'errant rocket' fired by 'terrorist group' hit Gaza hospital

US President Joe Biden said Tuesday that an "errant rocket" fired by a "terrorist group" caused a devastating explosion at a Gaza hospital that left hundreds dead.

"Based on the information we've seen to date, it appears as a result of an errant rocket fired by a terrorist group in Gaza," Biden told reporters at the end of a short trip to show solidarity with Israel after the October 7 Hamas attacks.

Hamas has said Israel caused the deaths.
