Former Test cricketer Naushad Ali passes away  

Former Test cricketer Naushad Ali passed away in Islamabad on Sunday, reported .24NewsHD TV channel.

Naushad Ali's death has been confirmed by his family. He was 79.

According to the family members, the funeral prayers of the deceased will be offered today at 5.30 pm at the H-11 cemetery.

It should be noted that Naushad Ali has served as the PCB selector, team manager, and held many other positions.

He represented Pakistan in six Test matches – all against New Zealand in 1965. He is also a former Iinternational Cricket Council referee.

Pakistan Cricket Board expressed its condolences on the death of former Test cricketer Naushad Ali:

PCB Chairman Management Committee Zaka Ashraf, other members, and board employees have expressed grief over the death of Naushad Ali.

In a message, Zaka Ashraf said: “On behalf of the PCB, I want to express my deepest condolences on the sad demise of Mr Naushad Ali.

“We share the grief of his friends and family and extend our deepest sympathies.”
