PM Shehbaz to open digitization of medical devices: DRAP

DRAP (Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan) has taken a revolutionary step in Medical devices on the instructions of Health Minister Mustafa Kamal, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel on Monday. 

The Prime Minister of Pakistan will inaugurate the digitization of medical devices on Monday, according to the statement. The Ministry of Health said that from wheelchairs to MRI machines, the registration and licensing process will now be conducted online. He expressed that citizens can now apply online for the registration and licensing of medical devices from the comfort of their homes. “This initiative will reduce a years-long process to just twenty days,” he added. 

The public will now have timely access to high-quality, safe, and effective medicines and medical devices. Pakistan’s pharmaceutical and medical devices sector holds immense economic potential. 

The process of reforms in the health sector is progressing rapidly.
