In the current wave of high inflation going on in the country, around one million students dropped out of schools across the province of Punjab.
The 24News HD TV channel reported on Monday that the storm of inflation also began to affect the school-going children's education badly.
The channel report said that in Lahore only, more than 30,000 students have dropped out of school and these numbers can increase in August.
The educationists have said that if the books, notebooks and stationery are not made cheaper, another 1 million children will drop out of school by August.
They have demanded the government reduce the prices of books, notebooks and stationery by giving subsidies on these items to increase the literacy rate in the province.
The education experts also said that if stationery and books were not subsidized, the number of children dropping out of school would exceed 2 million within the next two months.
