More than 40 people fell prey to substandard food items they bought from a bakery located at the GT Road near Kamoke city on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Kamoke assistant commissioner did not seal the bakery despite the passage of two days after the incident.

The food poisoning victims were admitted to the hospitals of Kamoke, Sheikhupura and Lahore for further treatment.
