Scarlett Johansson looked effortlessly stylish as she attended the Newport Beach Film Festival at the Balboa Bay Resort.

The 40-year-old star was honoured with the Legend & Groundbreaker Award and posed proudly with her accolade.

Johansson wore a chic black mini dress adorned with silver floral detailing, paired with block heels that added to her graceful presence.

The festival’s Instagram page congratulated the actress, noting that she received the award at the Newport Beach Film Festival Honors event on October 19.

The award comes shortly after Johansson made her directorial debut with Eleanor the Great, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year to significant praise.

The film stars June Squibb as Eleanor Morgenstein, a woman in her mid-90s who moves from Florida back to New York following the death of her best friend, a Holocaust survivor.

The story follows Eleanor as she inadvertently becomes entangled in a series of misunderstandings when she attends a gathering for Holocaust survivors.

For this project, Johansson chose to remain behind the camera rather than appear on screen, demonstrating her versatility as both an actor and filmmaker.

The film received a standing ovation at Cannes and has earned a mixed but notable 64 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, reflecting diverse critical opinions.

Johansson’s appearance at the festival highlighted her continued influence in the film industry, both in front of and behind the camera.

Her poised red-carpet look was complemented by minimal accessories, letting the dress and her award take centre stage.
