Pak-China trade deficit hits $3.77 billion

Pakistan’s trade deficit with China rose 41% to $3.77 billion during the first two months of the current fiscal year,  24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.

According to sources, Pakistan’s trade deficit with China stood at $2.67 billion during July and August 2025.

Imports from China reached $4.24 billion during July and August 2026, compared with around $3 billion in the same period last year, showing an increase of 41.56%.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s exports to China also recorded growth, reaching $480 million during the first two months of the current fiscal year, compared with $330 million during the corresponding period last year.

The figures show that Pakistan’s exports to China increased by 44.41% during July and August 2026.

Despite the rise in exports, the sharp increase in imports resulted in a significant widening of Pakistan’s trade gap with China during the two months.
