Elon Musk, founder of Tesla and SpaceX, has made a bold prediction about the future, stating that mobile phones will become a thing of the past, replaced by Neuralink technology,.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, this statement was made in response to a post on the social media platform X, where Musk highlighted that Neuralink users would eventually dominate.
It's important to note that the post-Musk responded to was from a parody account, which shared an AI-generated image of Musk holding a phone with a neural network design on his forehead. The caption asked if users would install a Neuralink interface on their brains to control their new X phones with just their thoughts.
In his reply, Musk revealed that in the future, there would be no need for phones, as Neuralink would be the primary mode of communication and interaction.
Meanwhile, Neuralink is currently seeking another volunteer willing to have the chip implanted in their brain, enabling them to control both their computer and phone through thought alone.
This comes after Neuralink's first successful human trial in January 2024, where a computer chip was implanted in the brain of a 29-year-old man who had been paralyzed in an accident.
After the chip was installed, he was able to play games using only his thoughts.
