Govt giving special attention to e-commerce sector: Aon Abbas

Special Assistant to Prime Minister Aon Abbas Buppi said while addressing the launching ceremony of “E-Commerce Portal” that the government was giving special attention to the e-commerce sector witnessing a huge growth worldwide, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

He said that the global volume of the e-commerce market was above $30 trillion, and added that Pakistan was the fourth biggest e-commerce market with a large number of freelancers.

He also claimed that the government formulated a special strategy for the growth of Pakistan’s e-commerce sector, and asserted that the e-commerce sector of the country went through a modernisation due to the vision of the prime minister.

“The government also made exports easy through e-commerce,” he added.
