Guard shoots himself dead while making TikTok video

A security guard named Salamat accidentally killed himself in an attempt to film a video for popular video-sharing platform TikTok in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of Karachi on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The incident occurred when the 23-year-old security guard pointed a pistol to his head to film a TikTok video, the TV channel reported.

Police said that the security guard was a habitual of filming Tiktok videos in school where he was posted as guard. In one such incident, he triggered the pistol in which a bullet passed through his head and he died on the spot. Salamat belonged to Ghotki while he was posted in a school.

This is not the first time that a life has been lost while filming a TikTok video. As per media reports, in April, a 22-year-old man died after being hit by a train while shooting a video at the Jumma Goth railway station in Bhens Colony, Karachi.

According to the Landhi Railway police, Kashif had been running on the railway tracks while doing a TikTok challenge when the train hit him, causing critical head injuries. His friends, who were also filming videos, took him to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where he succumbed to his wounds.
