Prime Minister Imran Khan has said mega projects will give a boost to economic growth and inflict positive impacts upon the common persons.

He was chairing a meeting on i-Land Development and Ravi Urban Development projects on Friday. The Sindh governor and the Punjab chief secretary also joined the meeting via video link.

The meeting was briefed about the progress on the projects The survey of 18600-acre land has been accomplished and there is no need to shift the locals from the area, the meeting heard.

The prime minister shed light on the importance of utilising the sea area, saying that the area has the potential of promoting world-class construction besides attracting foreign investors.

The Ravi Urban Development Programme will help overcome the crisis being created by rapid population growth, the premier said adding that such a project will bring in a new era of urban development.
