Terrorist shot dead during Lahore encounter

A notorious accused who was wanted in a terror case was killed by the firing of his own accomplices in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The incident took place in the Ghaziabad area of Lahore.

According to Gujjarpura police, the suspect identified as Ansar Lodhi was in police custody for heinous crimes such as terrorism, attacks on police, robbery and abduction.

Recently, he was arrested for shooting at and injuring two policemen in Ghaziabad.

A suicide jacket was also recovered from his house during a police raid. 

On Thursday night, he was injured in the firing of his own accomplices during a shootout with police. He was taken to hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds. 

His accomplices escaped after the firing, setting the police on their pursuit.
