Bodies of three eunuchs found dumped in Karachi

The bodies of three eunuchs were found dumped near Usmania Restaurant on the Super Highway in Karachi on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Police said that all three of them were shot dead, as bullet marks had been found on their heads, chests and hands, while their bodies had been shifted to a hospital. 

Police further said it appeared as if the eunuchs were waiting by the roadside for a lift when they were sprayed with bullets. 

The Force said they had found nothing that could establish the identity of the deceased.

However, the Force said that it had collected evidence and was trying to find out what led to the killings. 

It is pertinent to mention here that the incidents of violence against members of the transgender community are on the rise in the country.

Most cases have been reported from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP); however, the situation in other provinces of the country is also far from satisfactory.  

Members of the community are abused, maimed and even killed, and the perpetrators of these crimes are hardly brought to justice.

Sindh CM Murad takes notice  

On the other hand, taking notice of the incident, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah sought a report from the Sindh IGP besides ordering him to immediately arrest the perpetrators of the atrocity. 

"Eunuchs belong to the most victimized segment of society. And we all have to give respect to them," the CM said, adding that the state would not tolerate the killings of its innocent citizens.
