NSC declaration says there was no foreign conspiracy 

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah says Imran tells lie on a threatening letter

A declaration of the National Security Committee (NSC) has been issued on Friday in which it has been declared that there is no foreign conspiracy.

Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah briefed the media about the details of the NSC meeting and informed them about its decision.

In the NSC Declaration, it is stated that they do not find any foreign conspiracy as per the reports of the highest intelligence agencies of the country.

While former ambassador of Pakistan to the United States of America Asad Majeed also briefed the committee on the text and context of his telegram to the previous government of Imran Khan.

As per the declaration of the NSC, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif presided over the meeting while Chiefs of the three Armed Forces and Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Chairman also attended.

The meeting was attended by the Ministers of Defence, Foreign Affairs, Interior and Information while former ambassador of Pakistan to the United States Asad Majid specially attended the meeting.

The declaration said that the former ambassador to USA Asad Majeed briefed the meeting on the content and background of his telegram to the Pakistani Foreign Office.

The declaration said that the committee ratified the minutes of the last meeting of the NSC and stated that no evidence of conspiracy was found in the Telegram.

The Interior Minister also confirmed that former premier Imran Khan tells a lie to the nation on the issue of a foreign conspiracy and a threatening letter. 

Answering queries of the journalists, Rana Sanaullah confirmed that he had seen and read the letter of the former Pakistani ambassador to the USA Asad Majeed in the NSC meeting today.

He confirmed that there was no name in the letter, adding that any ambassador holds meetings with many people and has his own opinion.

Rana Sanaullah said the parliamentary committee on ECL issues has recommended rules to the Shehbaz Sharif government that have been approved by the federal cabinet.

As per the approved rules, the names of the people who were included in the ECL would be withdrawn after 120 days automatically if the government do not provide any evidence against them in the court.

But, the people who are included in terrorist activity, or risk to the country, or included in the ECL on the directions of the courts would not be facilitated.

He confirmed that there is a total of 4,863 people were on the no-fly list and after the new rules around 3,000 people will take benefit from the new rules.

About the arrests from FIA without evidence, Rana Sanaullah clarified that in future no one would be arrested without inquiry. He said now the FIA will include the suspect in the inquiry first and then register the case against him.
