The Punjab Assembly has adopted a resolution in favour of Tableeghi Jamaat unanimously.  

The Punjab Assembly met on Tuesday with Speaker Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in the chair. MPA Khadija Omar presented the resolution regarding the Tableeghi Jamaat after seeking permission from the chair by suspending Rule 115 of Rule 234 of 1997 and other rules regarding rules and regulations of Provincial Assembly Punjab.

The speaker read out the resolution and said the house seconded the fact that group that has been preaching the religion. Tableeghi Jamaat has nothing to do with terrorism, he said, adding that the history shows that these people have never been involved in such in negative activities.

They are presenting a bright picture of Pakistan across the globe, he stressed. Later, the house adopted the resolution unanimously.
