The US dollar has gained 15 paisas against the Pakistani rupee and is being traded at Rs178.20 in the interbank trading on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The rupee is constantly losing its value against the greenback despite the fact that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia deposited $3 billion in the State Bank of Pakistan to shore up Pakistan’s forex reserves. 

According to economic experts, the ballooning import bills and widening current account deficit are responsible for the rupee freefall.
