LHC bans tree logging in public, private edu institutions

The Lahore High Court (LHC) Wednesday banned tree cutting in all the government and non-government educational institutions across Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Justice Shahid Karim said that any case relating to tree logging in educational institutions would be send to the Anti-Corruption.

The court also made it conditional to take permission from Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA) to cut trees within private property.

Besides, the court allowed the replacement of the PHA director general and granted conditional approval for the transfer of LDA DG Aamir Ahmed Khan.
