Former President Asif Ali Zardari has welcomed the decision of the Election Commission of Pakistan to appoint Mohsin Naqvi as caretaker chief minister of Punjab and said that he is the best choice among the four proposed names from the opposition and the government.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, former President Asif Zardari has said in his statement that Mohsin Naqvi is a self-made person and has relations with all political parties.
Zardari said Mohsin Naqvi never contested an election nor was he a part of any political activity.
Those objecting to them should tell that if respected journalists like Irshad Ahmed Haqqani, Arif Nizami, and Najam Sethi can be part of caretaker governments then why is Mohsin Naqvi also not suitable for this position, Zardari added.
