The students, who came to take Intermediate exam at the Lawrence Road examination centre in Lahore on Friday, were denied entry for arriving late, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Dozens of students protested over being denied entry to the examination centre.

They said that they came with a 30-minute delay due to heavy traffic and unfavourable weather conditions.

The board administration called the police and got the students dispersed for making a noise outside the examination centre.

“The students are being arrested on the charges of commotion,” said the candidates for Intermediate exams while talking to media.

They also alleged that the threats of registering cases and wasting a year were also being hurled at them by the board officials.

On the other hand, the board officials said that the candidates had been instructed to reach the examination centre one hour before the start of the exam.

“Late comers are not allowed to sit in the exam as per the rules,” they added.
