Two children killed as pillar collapses at under-construction house in Multan

Two children were killed and three others injured after a pillar collapsed at an under-construction house in Shujaabad, a tehsil of Multan district, 24NewsHD TV reported. 

The incident occurred in Basti New Lar, where construction work was underway at the house of Abdul Razzaq. According to rescue sources, a structural pillar suddenly collapsed, trapping several people under the debris.

Twelve-year-old Muhammad Ayan and 10-year-old Muhammad Rehan died at the scene.

Three others, including Abdul Razzaq's wife Samina Bibi, 7-year-old Afan, and 5-year-old Anaya Bibi, sustained serious injuries after being buried under the rubble.

Rescue personnel pulled the injured victims from the debris, provided first aid at the scene, and shifted them to Nishtar Hospital, Multan, for further medical treatment. Authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the collapse.
