PMDC opens MDCAT registration, exam set for Aug 16
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has launched online registration for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) for admission to medical and dental colleges nationwide.
According to the PMDC, candidates can register for the examination with the standard fee until July 8, while registration with a late fee will remain open until July 13.
The MDCAT examination will be conducted nationwide on Aug. 16, 2026.
The test will consist of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), including 81 from Biology, 45 from Chemistry, 36 from Physics, and nine questions covering English and Logical Reasoning.
PMDC said the examination paper will comprise 15 percent easy questions, 70 percent of average difficulty and 15 percent difficult questions.
The admission test will be held in multiple cities across the country, including 15 centres in Punjab, one of which is Lahore.
The MDCAT serves as a mandatory entrance examination for students seeking admission to medical and dental colleges in Pakistan.
