The recently emerged five Covid-19 patients are the close relatives of the same person who died of Covid-19 a few days ago, he said.

All the shopping malls, restaurants and public spaces are already closed from March 22 to March 24 excluding the pharmacies and grocery stores, milk shops and vegetable markets, he said.

Only three deaths reported because of the virus, adding that two cases reported in Peshawar had the travel history.

There are 19 hospitals declared as quarantine centres in Peshawar, he added.

The KP information minister said KP government has been monitoring the situation every hour and taking necessary steps as per the situation.

He appealed the people to cooperate with the government and ask them to seek forgiveness from Allah Almighty in the time of crisis.
