Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has challenged the judicial commission in the Supreme Court (SC) formed to investigate the audio leaks, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

A constitutional petition filed against the judicial commission pleaded with the apex court to declare the formation of the judicial commission null and void.

“No judge can be nominated for the judicial commission without the permission of the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP),” the petition said.

“The Supreme Judicial Council is the only forum for investigation or action against any judge of the Supreme Court,” it stated.

The petition had been filed through Babar Awan Advocate.
